I'm not sure what it is about this video, but I found it highly amusing. The YouTube user "Wintericecrystal" first came to my attention when he started reviewing some of the IFComp 2008 game entries, and the video embedded below just popped up a couple of days ago.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to dry my eyes.

Isn't this the guy who tore into Lost Pig for a) being about an orc and b) not being in proper English? The voice sounds very similar.

(Not that I'm one to judge on calling comp games wrong; I average one game egregiously misjudged a year. But something about his tone rubbed me, and quite a lot of other people, the wrong way.)

(That said, I am also wiping tears out of my eyes.)

Ah, yes, this is probably the same individual. A quick search of youtube does not turn up anything, however.

A rather belated response, in the unlikely even that anyone still cares:

I didn't actually review Lost Pig at all, IIRC, I said that I wasn't going to play it because I didn't like the look of it; it was a waste of time in hindsight, so it came down along with the rest of 2007's reviews, which were barely legible thanks to Youtube's crappy formatting.

I've played a lot of the IFcomp games over the years, including a multitude of troll games and so-called comedies that weren't worth the time spent downloading. Come to think of it, I seem to recall playing another competition entry a few years earlier featuring a goblin that I couldn't send to the recycle bin fast enough. Unfortunately, from what little I played of it, Lost Pig seemed to give off the same vibe (and from the reviews I've read, I'm not the only one that initially jumped to this conclusion, either.)
